Webflow’s site-wide Custom code adds HTML to every page. You paste the widget snippet there.

Before you start

  • A website widget with your site on its Allowed origins list, for example https://yoursite.webflow.io and your custom domain. Copy its snippet from Install → Embed snippet.
  • Custom code on your Webflow plan. If the Custom code fields are locked, your plan does not include it.

Add the widget

Open Custom code

Open your site’s Site settings and go to the Custom code tab.

Paste the snippet into Footer code

Use your widget’s own snippet, or replace YOUR_WIDGET_ID and kl_pk_... with its values.

Save and publish

Click Save changes, then publish the site. Custom code does not run in the Designer, only on the published site.
To add the widget to one page only, paste the snippet into that page’s Page settings → Custom code → Before </body> tag instead.

Check it works

Open any page of the published site. A round Ask AI button appears in the bottom-right corner. Ask a question and check that the answer lists its Sources. Nothing there? See Troubleshooting.
