The Website Widget adds an Ask AI button to your site. Readers ask a question in their own words and get an answer from your knowledge base, with the pages it used listed under Sources. Follow-up questions continue the same conversation. It works on any page where you can add a <script> tag: your docs, your main site, your support portal or your app. Your site’s styles do not change the widget, and the widget’s styles do not change your site. Readers ask somewhere else? Answer them there with chat bots, the support form deflector or helpdesk automation.

What readers get

  • Answers that stream in, with numbered citations.
  • Up to four starter questions when the panel opens.
  • Matching pages as they type.
  • A thumbs up or down on every answer.
  • The conversation kept across page loads until the tab closes.
  • A Use MCP menu to connect your knowledge base to their own AI tools, when your public key allows MCP access.
Features you can turn on:
  • Search mode: a Search tab that lists matching pages without writing an answer.
  • Conversation hand-off: a Create ticket button that sends an email, opens a link or runs your own code.
  • User satisfaction: an exit question or a 1–5 rating.
  • User tracking: group questions by reader, anonymously or with your own user id.
  • Language: the widget’s own text in 13 languages.
