A workspace is your team’s account. It holds your members and their roles, billing, knowledge bases, usage, the activity log, SSO and your integrations. You get one workspace when you sign up, as its owner. To run more than one, contact support.

Before you start

  • You are an owner or admin. Only they see the Team page.
  • Your plan has a free seat: 1 on Free (just you), 10 on Pro, unlimited on Enterprise. Pending invitations take a seat. With no seat left, an invitation fails with 402 TEAM_MEMBER_LIMIT.

Invite someone

1

Send the invitation

Open Team → Invitations, enter the email address, pick a role (Admin, Member or User) and click Send Invitation. See Roles & Permissions.
2

They accept

They get an email with a link that works for 7 days. Accept & Join adds them with the role you picked; someone new to Kelu sets a name and password on the same page. If the email does not arrive, send them the link from Copy Link.
3

Give access to knowledge bases

Everyone can ask questions in every knowledge base unless you have turned that off. To let a member see or edit a knowledge base, open Team → Members, choose Edit access on the person, and switch on View, Sources, Config or Chat per knowledge base.
An address that is already a member, or already has a pending invitation, is refused.

Pending invitations

Team → Invitations lists invitations not yet accepted. Copy Link makes a fresh link, valid for another 7 days, and the old link stops working. Cancel withdraws the invitation.
With SSO, people who sign in through your identity provider join automatically with the role set on the SSO connection (Member or User). No invitation is needed.

Change a role

On Team → Members, choose Edit access on the person, pick Admin, Member or User and confirm.
  • You cannot change your own role.
  • The owner’s role cannot be changed, and nobody can be made owner here.
To hand the workspace to someone else, the owner calls the API. The new owner must already be a member, and the old owner becomes an admin:
curl -X POST https://app.kelu.dev/api/v1/workspaces/$WS_ID/transfer-ownership \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"user_id": "<member user id>"}'

Remove a member

On Team → Members, open the person’s menu and click Remove. They lose access to the workspace at once. The owner cannot be removed.

Activity log

Invitations, removals, role changes, ownership transfers and knowledge base changes are recorded. Owners and admins read them under Settings → Activity Log. See Security.
